About Gay

My name is Gay, I have always loved animals since I was a toddler and all my imaginary friends were animals. My mom helped me rescue a baby bird with a hurt wing when I was 8. So it's no surprise that I have 3 lovebirds now and volunteer with All Birds Rescue Rehab Release. My areas of expertise are hatchling birds and baby squirrels known as pinkies.

About Christina "CJ"

CJ has a life-long love of animals. As a child and teen she was always bringing home stray dogs and cats, nursing baby birds that fell out of nests, and helping turtles cross the road.  She started volunteering with wildlife rescue & rehab organizations in the mid 1990s and never looked back. Moving to the barrier island community of PassAGrille  in 2016 she transitioned from cougars and wolves to sea turtles and

wild birds.

“I immediately fell in love with Pelicans

… and cormorants… and most everything with feathers in Florida”.

CJ met Linda Mercado a few years ago and She’s been working with All Birds Rescue Rehab Release ever since. CJs main function with ABRRR is responding to calls for wild bird transport which takes her on

rescue calls, vet transports, and her favorite job, releasing a rehabbed bird back into the wild.
